   Preparation of Wedding Dress

  • Alterations- This includes length change and tweaks to the wedding gown making it a perfect fit.

  • Bust cups- Are a great option to go with as these can be fitted into the dress or your own bra can be to give extra support.

  • Bustle ribbon- This is fitted underneath the train so it can be looped up for the evening. This gives you the best of both as you have the long train for the ceremony and pictures, and hassle free for the evening when the train is tied up. It is a very good alternative to have this added instead of having the train removed.

  • Steam dress- This is done a few days before hand, bridal boutiques normally do this but they may charge extra. Once the dress has been steamed, drop the train straight and hang the gown up to prevent any creases occurring. The veils are only steamed lightly as they are very delicate.

  • Gown covers- These are always advised to be purchased once the wedding gown is taken away ready for your wedding day, as this will keep your dress protected and it will make it easier when transporting to the venue.

   Aftercare of Wedding Dress

  • Looking after the dress- Presentation boxing is great to store a gown and to keep your dress protected.

  • Acid free tissue also helps to protect the gown when it is stored.

  • Clean the gown with a special service to protect the delicate details on the dress,
