To all you beautiful brides who need assistance with those many bridal dresses and the different styles to choose from, I have provided you with the following images which are all of the type of shapes available.

Ball Gown/Princess

This style holds a similar shape to the A-Line where it will be fitted around the bust line area and sometimes to the waistline. However, with the ball gown the skirt is very fairy tale as it will have many layers or a hoop to create a dramatic look.

This style of wedding gown goes well with the larger weddings and big ceremonies as the look will be carried off well.

A-Line

The A-Line style is fitted around the bodice and flows out, creating an A shape. The dress can either be flowing or structured with layers or a hoop creating a more dramatic look.

This style of wedding gown is very traditional and open to the church weddings and outdoor venues.

Both the Ball gown/Princess and A-Line wedding gowns are ideal for the more curvaceous women.

Mermaid

The mermaid silhouette contours to the body from the chest to the knee, then flares out to the hem. This is a very sexy look that highlights the curves of a woman’s body.

Trumpet Silhouette

This style is very similar to the mermaid style in the way that it has a close fitting bodice. The difference is that the trumpet has more of a flared skirt rather than the defined structure of the mermaid.

Both of these styles are for the bride who is comfortable to show off her shape as they both contour the figure. Both are suitable for the traditional weddings to outdoor ceremonies.

Sheath

This style of gown is classed as straight as the seam will run vertically from the shoulders to the hips flattering a bride's natural shape.

This style is perfect for the indoor, outdoor or beach weddings as most are made from chiffon creating lightness to the gown. Also, this gown is suitable for those brides who are expecting as it will still show off your shape beautifully whilst flowing and being comfortable.

Tea length

The tea length style has a vintage feel and has no train. The hem finishes above the ankle but below the knee creating a 40s/50s style. This style compliments the petite and taller ladies whilst still contouring the shape from the waist, and the body in the skirt can be either flowing or puffed out. This style enables the bride to accessorise more and to show off the shoes, jewellery and vintage bird cage veil.

This style is perfect for the indoor and outdoor weddings.

Mini

The mini style usually finishes above the knee and is a perfect style for the laid back bride who is most comfortable in something more similar to our usual dress fittings. It creates a nice shape for the waistline and flows out showing off the figure more for your legs.

This style is very popular as a wedding dress for the reception party after the ceremony and it is perfect for the outdoor summer weddings and beach venues.
