There is no particular rule when adding belts on to a wedding dress, except been aware of both of the fabrics to ensure that they complement each other well.
The ribbon belts suit most dresses from the satin, to lace or tulle, so this choice of accessory fabric is very versatile to the wedding dress fabric.
The advantage of going for a belt like 'Fern' is the colours. It offsets the dress and the colours can be incorporated with the groom, best men, bridesmaids and venue, making this a lovely finishing touch.
