Every bride and groom dream of that perfect Hawaiian wedding! Where the groom can await his bride at the alter, alongside the ocean with stunning scenery and combine it with a honey moon of a lifetime.

This beautiful wedding venue offers all that and more with a Hawaii 5-0 twist. The estate is situated along the south eastern shoreline of Oahu, and is most definitely one of Honolulu's hidden gems.

This charming historic estate, built in 1936 is listed on the Register of Historic Places of Hawaii as the Bayer Estate.

I myself have been lucky enough to visit the Bayer Estate, and it will be a memory for a lifetime. Just tucked away, this charming character house is easily driven right by. You pull up along a perfectly pruned drive way arriving at the front of the house, greeted by a charming wooden archway (as pictured to the left) and the scent of the local Hawaiian flowers it is easy to get swept away in the magic of the experience. Beyond this at the end of a small stone path lies the most picturesque house.

Inside the house has all the charm and personality you'd expect from the outside, however it's out the back of the house where this venue truly come to life. Exiting through a glass set of doors you first arrive at the all-natural wooden porch and overhang (great for a little shelter should the weather not be in your favour, see the picture above) which backs on to the lush green lawn surrounded by trees, the grass slowly fades as what was once the lawn becomes your very own beach, glossy white sand and the tranquil sea adds the finishing touch to this romantic location.

Furthermore we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Sooz and her family. They are such wonderful people and so welcoming, they really seem to go above and beyond to make sure there guests are taken care of. We had just arrived after a wedding had finished, and got to see how spectacular a wedding here really can be. For me it was the peace and tranquillity that I felt as I looked out over the ocean, the sun shimmering on the water and listening to the waves which showed all its natural beauty.

A wedding here is made extra special with the finishing touches whether it be the bouquets laid on the tables, the alter overlooking the ocean, or the lights around the garden for an evening reception or marquee, making this a fairy tale come true. The venue can be personalised to each individual couples wedding theme.

If you are a Hawaii 5-0 fan this is definitely for you. This beautiful home is also known as Steve McGarrett’s house. Those popular scenes of Steve and Danno relaxing on the wicker chairs,

would make a romantic wedding shot as you are overlooking the ocean and views.

Hawaii has so much to offer not just as a place to get married but for a honeymoon as well, from snorkelling with the sea turtles amongst the coral sea life at the reef at Hanauma Bay. After this why not take a coastal walk across the many beaches of Honolulu and watch some sunsets, or take a hike up Diamond Head volcano. Also, a visit to the Pearl Harbour is truly breath taking as you take a trip back in time and pay respects to the many soldiers who lost their lives on the Arizona on such a tragic day. During the course of the evening you can dine in the many choices of wonderful restaurants to eat, one of my personal favourites is 'The Cheesecake Factory' with their fine dining dinner menu and many delicious cheesecake deserts. Finally, finish off the end of your amazing experience with some Hawaiian surfing. Honolulu is a place that will always stop with me forever.
