As we are heading in to the spring season, we have selected a less common style of wedding dress which is chosen by our brides, the satin dress. The trend of 2015 was lace, and as we are now in to 2016 lace still seems to be a favourite with the modern day bride with its vintage look and sexy styles.

The reason that lace has led the way last year has a lot to do with the places in which we now choose to get married; more a more couples are heading abroad to exotic locations for that special day. Beach or barn weddings are a perfect choice for lace with its lighter feel and vintage look. Whereas, the satin dress holds a firm structure and is heavier in weight, but has a very classic elegant look for the larger weddings ceremonies, like a church or stately home. However, the satin wedding gown may come and go but it is always the perfect choice for traditional weddings.

This classic gown is from the collection Beautiful BT13-19 by Enzoani. A satin fabric is a brilliant choice in many ways to wear as your bridal gown; it is a gown that never goes out of fashion with its elegance. It is ideal for you brides who prefer the plainer gowns, and a soft romantic finish. The satin will help to achieve this look, and as they say less is always more.

This full length gown suits the pear shaped ladies, as it will sculpt around your curves. Also, complementing the hourglass figure as it will contour the natural shape of your body.

However, with the apple shape the close fitted skirt will restrict movability and highlight your larger features in the wrong areas. The slender figure will get lost in this style of gown with the lap over of material unbalancing the proportions, which will provide you with the wrong shape to complement your figure.

The cross over effect of the fabric is a great effect as it ensures that the material does not cling in any areas, providing a sleek soft finish as it flows down in to the skirt creating a nice feature point.

This type of style is very popular for you ladies who want to show off your shape, but prefer not to highlight the stomach area, the ruching helps to achieve this making sure that any areas that we are uncomfortable with are covered.

The satin fabric has a glossy shiny look on the surface, and it is duller on the back. To create this fabric fibres such as silk, nylon, or polyester are used.

The dress features a soft sweet heart neckline which is appears like the top of a heart shape, this complements the dress perfect as the fabric crosses over from the top to the bottom of the dress, creating a delicate finish to the gown.

The dress features some sparkle on the top and waist which adds the little bit of sparkle it needs, and balances the dress out.

One of the great features of a satin dress is that more than often they come with a corset lace tie up back, which is ideal for the larger ladies who love the support and hold which this provides, as it will draw us in and make us appear slimmer around the waistline area.

If you are wanting to wear a veil, a short one will complement this dress well if you wish to show off the back area, however a fingertip or cathedral veil will also work well with this style it is all personal preference. Features on the veil can be incorporated with the dress by choosing one with a satin edging to finish the look off perfect.

Regarding bridesmaids, following the same theme of a satin dress for them complements your dress nicely, or chiffon provides a great contrast.

The colours available for this wedding gown are in Ivory and Diamond White only.
